Academy of Country Music Awards Hosts Mock Taylor Swift?s Love Life

Taylor Swift's career success trumps her personal stories of being unlucky in love, but prior to being named Entertainer of the Year at last night's 46th Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas, the honor was bestowed along with some cringe-worthy moments for the starlet.

Hosts Blake Shelton and Reba McEntire took a few jabs at Taylor and her whirlwind romance with actor Jake Gyllenhaal before host Ryan Seacrest presented Taylor with the honor. Reba asked, ?What was Jake Gyllenhaal thinking?? to which Blake answered, ?Wait a minute, he was in Brokeback Mountain," referring to a gay character he played in the film. Blake also joked that Jake shouldn't hurt Taylor because of her tendency to pen songs about those who have left her heartbroken. Taylor, who attended the awards with her mother, "seemed visibly annoyed" at the jokes, according to an onlooker.

But later, when In Touch spoke with her backstage, the singer was elated. ?I think honestly for me just the impact and the significance of winning Entertainer of the Year is just the biggest thing in the world to me," gushed the pop country star. "My heroes [have] won that award, and to have such amazing artists take you under their wing like Brad Paisley and Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw and Keith Urban... These are all people I?ve opened up for. George Strait, Shania Twain and Garth Brooks [are] people that I?m just absolutely in awe of. Just the fact that I would be mentioned in the same bracket in that award is really mind-blowing to me.?
