?And that dear friends is a sentence we never thought we would write.
So, how have the words PETA, Dappy and penis ended up being thrown together like this? Well?
PETA are angry, real angry, about some comments Dappy made during a recent interview concerning his love of the great outdoors. More specifically his love of hunting, which he used to do with his dad when he was younger, now however he likes to carry on that ?legacy? (his words, not ours) on his own. He said:
"The other day I chopped off a pheasant's head and made a stew."
"I used to go carp fishing with my dad on the canal. I love all that man-against-nature stuff. Hey, I am the real Bear Grylls. He might have the upper-body strength, but I'd be handy in the jungle."
Jumping on a bandwagon, PETA then decided to pen an open letter to Dappy taking him to task over his hunting ways, and while they were at it they decided to have a pop at his now infamous leaked naked picture as well. They said:
"The pain and suffering of the animal aside, someone - maybe a psychologist - might say a man needs counselling when, like a puffed-up little boy shouting, 'Look, mummy, look', he tries to prove that by simply standing up and using a rod or gun, he can overpower a two-pound bird or a struggling fish.
"Taking a picture of his penis is not unrelated to this desire of his to be seen as big, even by picking on very small animals who pose him no threat. It takes a very small person indeed to enjoy traumatising, hurting, and killing animals who are minding their own business.
"If Dappy hopes to ingratiate himself with the British public, he'd do well to follow the compassionate example of music legends like Sir Paul McCartney, who respect all living beings."
Round of applause for PETA everybody, although just one slight qualm; we?re not sure they can get away with labelling him a ?very small person? (even if they do just mean it in a metaphorical sense) because we?ve all seen that picture haven?t we? Ain?t nothing small about that beast.
