Unfortunately we didn?t watch this series of Popstar to Operstar (come to think of it, we haven?t ever watched a series of Popstar to Operstar) but we hear off the grapevine that Joe McElderry was crowned winner of the programme last night ? well done him.
Apparently it was between him and Cheryl Baker in the final but after ?wowing? judges and viewers alike with his rendition of Nessun Dorma he managed to win. He even hinted that he may now pursue a career in Opera following his success on the show, saying:
'My voice has been refreshed. For a singer and for me that is just so exciting. This is not the end of opera for me. I will definitely sing more opera and who knows, lets see what happens.?
And if not we?re sure Dancing on Ice will take him on.�Or maybe even Strictly come Dancing. The sky?s the limit really.
