The Browns waived P Dave Zastudil off injured reserve on Thursday.
The club placed Zastudil, 32, on I.R. with a right knee injury in August. He punted in eight games for Cleveland in 2009, posting a 39.1-yard net average before going on I.R. with the knee injury. He reportedly had surgery to repair his right patellar tendon in December 2009.
Reggie Hodges has fared well in place of Zastudil, averaging 39.9 yards net on 41 punts this season, tied for fourth-best in the NFL.
