Gamu appeared to have the weight of the world on her shoulders when she arrived at the Immigration Court in Glasgow this afternoon to appeal against the Home Office?s recent decision to deport her family.
The 18-year-old singer is originally from Zimbabwe and when all the X Factor hoopla kicked off a while back she faced deportation when it emerged her mum had been claiming benefits she wasn?t entitled to.
But it?s been reported today that the hearing was successful, Gamu?s mother is now allowed to apply for a new visa and it?s very unlikely her family will get deported.
Meanwhile, Gamu is now gearing up to take on the X Factor winner?s single when she releases her own charity track on 13 December.
