Britt picks bad time to have career day

Don't feel bad if you benched Kenny Britt on Sunday. You weren't alone.

Just days after allegedly getting involved in a nightclub brawl and missing practice on Friday, the Titans disciplined their second-year wideout by not allowing him to start Sunday's game against the Eagles. Subsequently, he was sent to the bench by fantasy owners across the nation. Suffice it to say that quite a few people weren't very happy with themselves come mid-afternoon.

Entering the game as a sub, Britt proceeded to have a career day, absolutely obliterating the Philly secondary for seven catches, 225 yards and three TDs. He caught scores both short and long from QB Kerry Collins, who was playing for an injured Vince Young, and accounted for nearly all of Collins' passing yardage. He looked simply unstoppable during his time on the field.

Obviously, this was a nightmare situation for owners who had him on their bench. But considering Britt's shaky status following an incident that clearly upset the team, sitting him wasn't the wrong move on his owners' part. It just so happened he decided to go crazy when it was least expected.

The good news, however, is that an outing like this will help Britt get more targets in the weeks to come. At least the next time he goes off, it likely will be in your starting lineup.
