Cutler likely to return in Week Six

Bears QB Jay Cutler was cleared to practice on Wednesday and should be able to play in Week Six after missing last week's game due to lingering effects from a concussion.

Cutler suffered the head injury in the second quarter of the team's Week Four loss to the Giants, when he was sacked nine times. In his place, Todd Collins started last Sunday vs. the Panthers but was ineffective, throwing four interceptions before being benched in the 23-6 win. Collins is expected to be dropped to third string, with Caleb Hanie moving to the backup role.

The way we see it

Cutler's return is good news for the Bears, who found their rushing attack in the win over the Panthers. Also good is that OLT Chris Williams may be back after suffering an injury in Week Two, which could shore up the protection problems the team has faced the past few games.

Fantasy Spin

The Bears face the Seahawks in Week Six, and the matchup is a good one for Cutler. Seattle ranks 31st vs. the pass, and the emergence of RB Matt Forté a week ago could mean less of a pass rush on the injured QB.
